Beef noodle soup is a hearty and hearty dish perfect for cold weather or when you just want to warm up and fill your stomach. Here is a detailed recipe for preparing a delicious beef noodle soup.

1 lb beef shank or pot roast, cut into small pieces
8 cups beef broth
1 onion, chopped
3 garlic cloves (minced)
2 carrots (peeled and sliced)
2 stalks of celery, sliced
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tablespoon fish sauce
1 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Chinese five-spice powder 1 teaspoon
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 pound of dried noodles
thinly sliced green onion for garnish
procedure:
In a large saucepan or Dutch oven, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add beef and fry until browned on both sides.
Add the onion and garlic and simmer for about 2-3 minutes until softened.
Add carrots and celery and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes. Add beef broth, soy sauce, fish sauce, sugar, salt, black pepper and five-spice powder. Bring mixture to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer for about 1 hour or until beef is tender.
While the soup is boiling, cook the noodles as directed on the packet. Drain and rinse with cold water.
